The Orange Box is nigh. If that sounds a bit like the apocalypse, it’s because it is – the end-all gaming package is slated for release on the 10th of October, and it might well end up changing the landscape of gaming as we know it. And you get two copies for free, right here.

Hyperbole aside, where else can gamers get hold of Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode One, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2 in one package, at the price of a single AAA game? Just to run that by you again, that’s one genre-defining title, its two episodic expansions, the sequel to one of the world’s most popular team-based online shooters, and the love child of a puzzler and an FPS, all in one box… the Orange Box.

Just because we’re such great people, we’ve managed to secure two hard copies of the Orange Box to pass on to two deserving readers. What defines deserving? A letter to Santa, of course.

That’s right, sign into our forums, write up a letter to Santa in our forum topic, detailing the most imaginative reason why you should be receiving the free Orange Box, and the two funniest, most original entries will be receiving a spanking new present come October 10th.

Rules of the contest are simple: no profanity or adult themes, no begging or shameless pleading, bribes need to be correctly addressed to the judges, and all entries need to be in by September 30th.
